    Bharti Teletech to export features rich phones to the UAE

     

    • The first Indian company to supply phones under their own brand – Beetel - in the retail segment to the UAE
    • Plans to export 1.5 million phones across the world – A target of 100% growth in exports over last year 
      To also distribute state-of-the-art fixed line telephone instruments

    New Delhi, June 08, 2005: Bharti Teletech, India’s largest manufacturer of fixed line phones is set to export over three lakh feature rich fixed line terminals to UAE by 2007 and plans to export 1.5 million phones across 30 countries this year. The company is targeting a 100% growth in exports over last year. The company today entered into a strategic agreement with Alpha Data – One of the largest distributors of communication equipments in the United Arab Emirates. Under the agreement, Alpha Data will sell state-of-the-art ‘Beetel’ telephone instruments to the fixed-line telephone customers of Etisalat present in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Fujairah, Alain and Ras Al Khaimah. Besides, the company would also sell their telephone sets in the open retail market through Alpha Data’s extensive retail distribution set up.


    With the agreement, Bharti Teletech, which is the fixed line telephone instrument manufacturer of India’s leading telecom conglomerate Bharti Enterprises, becomes the first and the only Indian company to export to the UAE in the retail segment under their own brand “Beetel”. The company is currently exporting to Jordan Telecom, Oman Telecom & Bahrain telecom in the PTT markets in the Middle East.

    Bharti Teletech, which is the leading manufacturer of fixed-line phones in India, sells phones under the Beetel brand name in India and across the globe. The company has recently introduced the 2.4GHz range of cordless phones under both the GE and the Beetel brand names.
