FAQ's
1. What is this offer and how can I get it?

This offer allows you to get an iPhone for a fraction of its market price. All you need to do is sign up for one of the following Airtel iPhone mobile plans (‘Plan’) for a minimum period of 12 months. You shall be required to pay the Minimum Initial Payment for the device value upfront and the rest shall be paid for by Bajaj Finance Ltd. (”BFL”) by way of loan for the device which you shall avail, in addition to signing up for the mobile plan under this offer. At the end of 12 months, you can come back, return the device and upgrade to the latest iPhone subject to the terms and conditions of Airtel.

2499 plan-5GB data + Unlimited local calls (mobile+ fixed line)

2999 plan-7GB data+ Unlimited Local calls + STD + Roaming (mobile+ fixed line)

As part of subscribing to the Plan you shall be signing up for BFL to finance the device value over and above the Minimum Initial Payment at 0% rate of interest.
You need to come back any time during the 13th month to return the device.

In case you wish to retain the device, a ‘Balloon Payment’ (given in the table below) will be auto debited from your account by BFL.

2. How much do I need to pay?

3. Do I need to buy an Airtel connection to avail the offer or can I get this on my existing number?

Only an Airtel subscriber may avail the Plan. All you need to do is to take one of the three mobile plans that we offer in connection with the iPhone for Life scheme.

4. What is the time period of my contract with Airtel?

This is a 12 month contract, post which you can come back to any of the participating outlets and return the device subject to the terms of the Plan and upgrade to the latest model. (please log on to www.airtel.in/iphone for the T&Cs and list of participating outlets)

5. What happens if I want to retain my device?

You may retain your device after 12 months if you have paid all the EMIs for the loan on the device regularly till the 12th month. The EMI’s shall form part of the bill amount under the Plan. Thereafter, BFL will debit the remaining outstanding amount (‘Balloon Payment’) from your account and your contract with Airtel for the Plan will terminate and your loan with BFL will be closed.

6. What happens in case I want to discontinue the plan before 12 months are over?

In case you want to discontinue the plan before the contract period is over, you will need to foreclose your loan with BFL and carry your No Objection Certificate (NOC) from BFL to one of our stores who will process your request. You will then be allowed to terminate this contract for the Plan and take up any other Airtel plan that you choose.

7. How do I get my NOC?

To view and download your NOC post loan closure, login to BFL’s Customer Portal Experia > Select View Loan Details > NOC or NOC will be sent your registered email ID post closure of your loan in BFL’s system.

Alternatively, it can be accessed/ downloaded from My Relations> Loan> Loan Statement tab or BFL’s Mobile App.

To receive your NOC, SMS NOC to 9225764444 from your registered mobile number.

8. How do I foreclose my loan?

Loan can be closed through the BFL customer portal- Experia or by visiting the BFL branch.

9. How can I get my Statement of Account / Repayment Schedule with respect to the loan?

You can view and also download your Statement of Account or Repayment Schedule on Customer Portal. Log in to the Customer Portal > > View loan details > Click view details icon > Select loan statement > Click Statement of Account > Open/ save the PDF document Alternatively, your SOA is forwarded to your registered email ID every month. To receive your SOA, SMS SOA to 9227564444 from your registered mobile number.

To receive your Repayment schedule, SMS REPSCH from your registered mobile number

10. How do I get additional information about my loan?

11. Is this plan available for COCP customers?

This plan is only available for retail and COIP customers right now

12. What happens if I change my plan before the 12 months are over?

You can only switch between the 3 plans on offer under this contract. In order to change your plan to an open market plan, you will need to foreclose your loan with BFL and share your No Objection Certificate (NOC) with the Airtel touch point where you are submitting your plan change request.

13. What happens if I damage my device during the contract period?

As per standard Apple DOA policy, in case you damage your device, you will need to get it repaired/replaced through and Apple care center and carry the document that mentions the IMEI change

14. How do I exit this contract?

The only way to exit the contract is to foreclose your loan with Bajaj Finance Ltd. and share your NOC with Airtel

15. Are there any other restrictions while I am on this plan?

The following restrictions will apply to you while you are on this plan. You cannot:

  • a. Apply for Mobile Number Portability
  • b. Churn out of the Airtel network
  • c. Give a transfer of ownership request
  • d. Request for safe custody
  • e. Migrate from postpaid to prepaid

In order to do any of the above, you will need to foreclose your loan with Bajaj Finance Ltd. and carry the No Objection Certificate provided by them to any of the stores.

16. What documents do I need to sign up for this plan?

You will first be required to sign up for a loan with BFL, for BFL to determine your eligibility, by submitting the following documents to BFL:

  • 1. ID proof
  • 2. Address proof of current residence
  • 3. Cancelled cheque
  • 4. Income proof by way of 2 bank statements and 2 months’ salary slip

Once your loan gets approved, you will need to sign up for an Airtel postpaid plan for which the following documents will be required:

  • a. Photograph
  • b. Proof of identity
  • c. Address proof of current residence
  • d. Cancelled cheque
17. Is ECS mandatory for sign up?

Yes, ECS is mandatory under this offer. You will be required to sign one ECS mandate with Airtel and one ECS mandate with BFL.

18. What happens if I am not eligible for the loan?

If you are not eligible for the loan through Bajaj Finance Limited, you will be unable to avail this offer.

19. What happens to the Airtel plan after 12 months?

After 12 months, you can change to any plan that you like. In case you do not confirm which plan you would like to move to, we will move you to the following default plans:
1999- 949 Infinity MyPlan
2499-1499 Infinity MyPlan
2999- 1999 Infinity MyPlan

20. Which cities is this offer available in?

This offer is currently available only in Mumbai and Delhi in select stores of Apple and Airtel. Refer Annexure 1 (list attached). You can also log on to www.airtel.in/iphone

21. Where can I return my device?

You can return your device to any of the outlets mentioned in Annexure 1

22. Can I return my device before the contract period is over?

Once the loan has been disbursed, you cannot return the device until the 13th month. You will be given a period of 30 days (from the end of month 12 to month 13) to return the device to any of the participating outlets.

23. What happens in case I am unable to return the device in month 13?

In case you are unable to return the device in month 13, the balloon amount (along with any other dues) will automatically be debited from your account by BFL and you can retain your device.

24. What happens if the store does not accept my device after 12 months?

Only phones that are in working condition (without any physical damage) will be accepted by the store. In case the store rejects the device due to poor quality, the balloon payment will be debited from your account.

Device Return Guidelines

1. You must read and take note of the terms as set out below:
  • (a) You must ensure that all and any personal and confidential data/information has been cleared from the Device.
  • (b) You must ensure the Device is able to be switched on and have access to your handset’s IMEI number by pressing *#06# (the IMEI should match the original device purchased). In case your device IMEI has changed (due to DOA replacement), you need to carry the Apple care document verifying the same
  • (c) You must ensure that your Device functions normally, for example, that it is capable of making and receiving calls and connecting to the internet and touchscreen functions as intended.
  • (d) You must ensure your Device is free from physical damage, except for normal or light wear and tear (for example, it does not have liquid damage, a cracked or discoloured screen or casing, connector damage or faulty or broken SIM reader).
  • (e) You must ensure that all activation and device locking features have been disabled (e.g. Find My iPhone on iOS 7+ devices).
  • (f) You must ensure your Device includes or comes with a fully functioning battery and that your SIM card has been removed.
  • (g) You must ensure that your Device does not have any missing, disassembled, customised or non-original parts
2. In the event your Device falls under any of the categories below, Airtel/Apple stores will not accept the Device and the balloon payment will be deducted from your account via ECS.
  • (a) Device is one with heavy wear and tear.
  • (b) Device is significantly damaged (cracked screen/casings, scratches, chips and dents, paint peeling, liquid damage, LCD damage/bleeding and/or swollen battery).
  • (c) Device not accompanied by its battery.
  • (d) Device has missing parts.
  • (e) Device has non-standard OEM parts.
  • (f) Device is not functional (not capable of turning on/off, buttons are not fully functional, cannot make/receive calls and/or cannot connect to the Internet).
  • (a) Device has or has had liquid damage.
    (b) Device has LCD damage/bleeding.
    (c) Device has swollen battery.
    (d) Device has missing parts.
    (e) Device has non-standard OEM parts.
    (f) Device is locked.

Terms & Conditions

1. Airtel iPhone offer is valid on the selected postpaid plans (as detailed below) for postpaid retail and corporate connections with bills paid by individuals directly to Airtel.

2. You are required to subscribe for the plan on which offer is valid, for a minimum period of 12 months and you will be authorized to switch among the mobile plans on which Airtel iPhone offer is valid.

3. As part of subscription to the plan, you will be required to sign-up for Bajaj Finance Limited (BFL) to finance the device. You will be required to pay Minimum Initial Payment upfront towards the device value, and rest of the payment will be made by BFL as loan for the device. The loan value will be over and above the Minimum Initial Payment at 0% rate of interest.

4. You have the option to retain your device after 12 months if you have fully paid all the EMIs for the loan on the device regularly for the said twelve months period. The EMIs shall form part of the bill amount under the plan. Thereafter, BFL will debit the remaining outstanding amount (‘Balloon Payment’) from your account and your contract with Airtel for the Plan will terminate and your loan with BFL will be closed. If you wish to retain the handset, final payment will be debited from your bank account through ECS.

5. In case you do not opt to retain the device as detailed in Sr. No. 4 above, you are required to return the device within 30 days from the expiry of the 12th month along with full disbursement of loan. You can return the device to any of the participating outlets.

6. In case you want to discontinue/ change the subscribed plan on which offer is valid, before the contract period is over (i.e. before the expiry of 12 months from the date of opting for the offer), to any open market plan, you will be required to foreclose your loan with BFL and share a No Objection Certificate (NOC) obtained from BFL with the Airtel touch point where you are submitting your plan change request. Thereafter, you will be allowed to terminate this contract and subscribe for any other Airtel plan of your choice.

7. As per standard Apple repair policy, in case you damage your device, you will need to get it repaired/ replaced through an Apple care center and carry the document that mentions the IMEI change. For any handset or device related issues like service, warranty, etc. under this offer, will have to be taken up solely with the manufacturer.

8. During the currency of contract period, in case you apply for any of the below conditions, the contract will be terminated:

  • • Apply for Mobile Number Portability
  • • Drop out of the Airtel network
  • • Give a transfer of ownership request
  • • Request for safe custody
  • • Migrate from postpaid to prepaid

In case you apply for any of the above, you will be required to foreclose your loan with Bajaj Finance Ltd. and carry the No Objection Certificate provided by BFL to any of the Airtel stores.

9. This offer is currently available only in Mumbai and Delhi NCR in selected stores of Apple and Airtel.

10. Airtel reserves the right to cancel, discontinue, withdraw, change or modify the T&Cs of the offer or any part thereof including the eligibility criteria at its sole discretion without giving any prior notice.

11. In matters relating to the offer hereto, the decision of Airtel shall be final and binding in all respects.

12. In case of any dispute or difference in respect of this offer, the decision of Airtel shall be final and binding on all concerned.

13. These terms and conditions are governed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Delhi.
