Shamini Ramalingam is Director Internal Assurance of Bharti Airtel Limited .
Prior to Bharti, Shamini has worked with Telstra Corporation in Australia since 1985. During her 23-year stint, she has held various key positions at Telstra. She was the National Manager of Business capability and solutions at Telstra in 2006-2008. Key deliverables for Shamini at this position included developing a GTM engagement model and assessment of GTM initiatives. She has also helped immensely in developing improved processes for driving customer requirements and team motivation exercises. One of her notable contributions at this position includes leading a team of Process Specialists in developing processes to ensure continuous improvement of end-to-end processes.

From 2003 until 2006, Shamini was the Group Manager, Fraud & revenue assurance at Telstra Corporation. She managed the Fraud Operations area overseeing fraud analysts and resolutions specialists and to establish a centralized fraud unit and strategy for Telstra. Key deliverables for Shamini at this position included managing a fraud management and detection system and also addressing assess development and training needs of the entire organization. Shamini was instrumental in establishing a fraud-reporting framework and control entities for Telstra to comply with Sarbanes and Oxley requirements. She has also conducted corporate wide fraud risk assessments and developed prevention strategies for risk mitigation.

Shamini has worked previously at the University of Melbourne as Senior Financial Officer. A graduate in commerce, Shamini started her career with GJ Coles & Co in 1982.
