Yes! My Airtel App allows you to identify the merchants that accept payment via Airtel Money Wallet in your vicinity. To use this feature:

  1. Activate the GPS on your phone.
  2. On the home screen, tap on the Pay Merchant tab
  3. On this screen, tap on View Merchants Near you to view a list of merchants around you that accept payments via Airtel Money Wallet.

We understand your concern, and won't let anyone misuse your Airtel Money account. Please write to us at wecare@airtelbank.com and we will block your wallet.

If you want to get it unblocked, write again to wecare@airtelbank.com from your Airtel Money registered email & we will unblock it.

+Why is my wallet blocked? What's going on?

This could be due to a variety of reasons. It could be that our system has detected a fraudulent transaction happening from your wallet. If our system detects multiple wallets being operated from a single IP address, it blocks the wallets.

To unblock your account, please write to us at wecare@airtelbank.com from your Airtel Money registered email ID or call us from your registered mobile number at Airtel customers dial in 400 and Non Airtel customers dial in 8800688006 and we will unblock your wallet.

+Do I get charged for using Airtel Money wallet?

Airtel Money wallet does not charge any money that is added to in the wallet via credit card/debit card, net banking, IMPS. It also does not charge the customer for adding money to the wallet, making a purchase at the merchant's site or for Wallet to Wallet transfer. The charges for a wallet to bank transfer are 3% of the transaction amount.

The monthly spend limit for your minimum KYC Airtel Money Wallet is Rs. 9,000 and that of the Full KYC wallet is Rs. 1,00,000 . However if you want to set lower monthly limits within the same limit, please contact our call center. You can also set limits for your daily and yearly spends within the overall limits by the same process.

+Can I control how many transactions I can do through my Airtel Money Wallet in a day, month or year?

+How does one become a FULL KYC user?

Currently we do not have the provision of changing to FULL KYC category. We will soon have an update for the same with a detailed process.

+I have a bank a/c and wish to de-link my Aadhaar and share any other POA?

Airtel Payments Bank will facilitate the process to delink aadhaar and update your account with another valid POI/POA of your choice very soon. We will certainly inform all our customers about the procedure as well.

+I want to open an a/c without giving Aadhaar to you? Can I open it?

Yes. You will be able to open a savings bank account with Airtel Payments Bank using a POI/POA of your choice in case you do not wish to provide your Aadhaar. We are eager to provide you with other KYC options and we will update all our customers very soon through relevant channels.

+How much time will you take to open a bank a/c with any other Proof of address?

+I have received an SMS where you have asked for Aadhaar details for removal of freeze?

If we notice that the KYC information provided by you during the course of opening the account is incomplete and if the a/c was opened with Aadhaar, a request is raised for you to share the Aadhaar details for removal of freeze.
