Wallet is a part of Airtel Payments Bank. It is a secure digital wallet that lets you manage your money; recharge, pay bills, shop at offline merchants, send money to friends & pay at various online platforms like MakeMyTrip, BookMyShow, Myntra and many more. 

You can get an Airtel Payments Bank wallet in 3 easy steps - 

1. Download My Airtel App 
2. Register on Payments Bank tab for opening a Wallet 
3. Click on the "Get Wallet" icon on the top right corner of the app 

Yes, you can open an Airtel Payments Bank wallet using any network mobile number. 

Recharge your prepaid mobile, DTH connection and Data cards 

Send Money - Transfer Money to another person, merchant or to a bank account 

Bills - Use Airtel Payments Bank Wallet to pay postpaid, DTH & Data card, broadband/landline

You can add money to your Airtel Payments Bank Wallet by 

Clicking on Add Money button under Payments tab 

Clicking on available balance(Avl Bal) on the top right corner of the MyAirtel app 

Clicking on the menu on the top left corner of the MyAirtel app 

All you need to enter is amount and payment details and after a successful transaction money will be added to your Airtel Payments Bank Wallet instantly. 

Please try the following: 

Checking which account you're logged in with. 

Check if there has been any recent transaction using Airtel Payments Wallet on clicking through 'View transactions'

es! My Airtel App allows you to identify the merchants that accept payment via Airtel Payments Bank Wallet in your vicinity. To use this feature: 

Activate the GPS on your phone. 

On the home screen, tap on the Pay Merchant tab 

On this screen, tap on View Merchants Near you to view a list of merchants around you that accept payments via Airtel Payments Bank Wallet. 

This could be due to a variety of reasons. It could be that our system has detected a fraudulent transaction happening from your wallet. If our system detects multiple wallets being operated from a single IP address, it blocks the wallets. 

To unblock your account, please write to us at wecare@airtelbank.com from your wallet registered email ID or call us from your registered mobile number at 1800-23400 and we will unblock your wallet. 

Airtel Payments Bank wallet does not charge any money that is added to in the wallet via credit card/debit card, net banking, IMPS. It also does not charge the customer for adding money to the wallet, making a purchase at the merchant's site or for Wallet to Wallet transfer. The charges for a wallet to bank transfer are 3% of the transaction amount.

Your wallet will be blocked and balance amount will be refunded back to you. 

The monthly spend limit for your minimum KYC Wallet is ₹9,000 and that of the Full KYC wallet is ₹1,00,000 . However if you want to set lower monthly limits within the same limit, please contact our call center. You can also set limits for your daily and yearly spends within the overall limits by the same process. 

Yes, you surely can choose between setting up daily 5/10/15 transaction for your wallet. Do reach out to our call center 1800-23400 for any assistance you may need.

Wallets acquired through OTP based e-KYc have a validity of one year from the date of onboarding. If not upgraded to a Savings Bank account within one year the services on these wallets shall be closed. Cashloading wallets have a validity of 2 years post which any credit transaction will be blocked. 

The maximum monetary value at any point of time in Airtel Payments Bank Wallet Full KYC wallet and Airtel Payments Bank Aadhaar OTP Wallet should not exceed INR 99,000/-. 

FKY wallets opened using Aadhar OTP-based e-KYC has yearly credit limit of INR 1,90,000/-
