Terms & Conditions for Identification of Fraud Links
Introduction:
To protect our customers from the exponentially rising menace of SCAMs and Frauds, Bharti Airtel Limited and Bharti Hexacom Limited (together “Airtel”) have launched an AI based Fraud Detection Solution for all for all its cellular connection and/or Wi-Fi subscribers (“Customer”) in India. This will be available for Customers using a VoLTE enabled smartphone with Airtel’s cellular (both prepaid & postpaid) or on Airtel Wi-Fi connection.
Features: Identification of a fraudulent domain/link
- We have implemented AI based technology that uses network intelligence to identify suspicious and malicious domains and links, including but not limited to scanning internet traffic and checking with global repositories and promptly blocking the relevant domain/link at the network level and redirecting the Customer to a secure webpage which explicitly mentions that the domain has been found malicious and hence, blocked.
- The identification of such domains relies on scanning internet traffic, checking with global repositories and real-time algorithm bases analytics.
- Customer may, at their own discretion, report any such link or domain / register a complaint with Airtel by writing to us at grievance@airtel.com. Airtel will thereafter investigate the said link/domain and if our Fraud Detection Solution finds it unsafe as per real time update of the database, the same will be blocked.
- In case of any grievance, Customer may reach out to us by dialing 121 or by writing to us on grievance@airtel.com.
Miscellaneous
- As per MHA-I4C data, cybercrime complaints on the Airtel network reduced by 14.3% and fraud-related financial losses by 68.7% between Sep 2024 and Jun 2025, post the launch of Airtel’s Fraud & Spam Detection solution.
