    Call spoofing is a tactic where a caller falsifies their caller ID information—making it appear as if the call is coming from a trusted source. It is used by scammers to trick individuals. It is beyond Airtel’s control and occurs outside our network. We recommend you stay cautious and avoid sharing sensitive information over the phone.




    Airtel retains your personal data for different durations from 1 to 10 years based on the type of data and legal, regulatory, and business requirements. The retention policy is primarily influenced by regulatory mandates from TRAI, DoT, RBI, and other governing bodies.


    • Call logs, SMS, and browsing history: 1 year (DoT mandate)

    • KYC details (Aadhaar, PAN): 3-5 years after service termination

    • Billing & transaction history: 10 years (tax compliance)

    • Location data: 6 months – 1 year





    Some data may be deleted upon request, while other data is retained for legal compliance
